Thank you for your interest in our study!
  • Participation takes 3-4 hours and the compensation is $80.
  • In-person and virtual participation options are available!
  • You will be asked to complete questionnaires and interviews related to your thoughts and experiences, and participate in assessments of language and cognition.
  • In addition, you would be asked to provide a cheek swab in order to index the FMR1 gene (FMR1 is a gene that is highly implicated in autism and other developmental disorders. For this study we are focused on normal variation on the gene and how it may relate to normal variation in language and cognition).
  • The overarching goal of the study is on understanding normal variation in language and cognitive features across mothers of children with healthy development and mothers of children with developmental disorders.
  • This information will help us develop better family-centered support services for families of children with developmental disorders such as autism.
