We are now accepting applications for faculty who are interested in mentoring a student in the 2020 Student Opportunities for Academic Achievements through Research (SOAR) program. This program provides a full time (minimum 40 hours per week), 8-week research experience for USC School of Medicine students between the MI and MII years. The 8-week internships must take place between May 18th and August 7th (exact dates of the internships are determined by the student and mentor).
If your project is chosen, the SOAR program will provide each student a $2,500 stipend and $500 to the mentor for research supplies/costs. If you have projects, clinical or basic research, that would provide a rising second-year medical student with a valuable research experience, please complete the application below.
Completed applications must be submitted by 11:59PM January 24th, 2020
If you have any questions, please contact Samantha Renaud at Samantha.Renaud@uscmed.sc.edu
